Heidi Dahlenburg is a highly experienced Registered Nurse and Naturopathic Practitioner, with a remarkable 22-year background in both fields. Graduating from the Academy of Natural Therapies in 1999 with an Advanced Diploma of Applied Science in Naturopathy, Heidi embarked on a journey to bridge the gap between complementary and traditional medicine, recognizing the profound impact it could have on patient outcomes. To further expand her knowledge and expertise, Heidi pursued a Bachelor of Nursing at Griffith University, specializing in Intensive Care and Emergency Nursing.
With a solid foundation in critical care and emergency medicine, Heidi spent nine challenging years in an Emergency Department of a small mining town, gaining invaluable experience in trauma care, cardiac care, cardiothoracic ICU, medical ICU, Critical Care, and Oncology. Upon returning to the Gold Coast, Heidi was determined to integrate her extensive experience in both complementary and traditional medicine. In 2018 Heidi started working at the National Institute of Integrative Medicine under the guidance of Dr. Taufiq Binjemain. It was this opportunity that allowed Heidi to combine both skills with the privilege of working with an Integrative Doctor in the field of Cancer Support. Heidi consults with patients as a part of the total cancer care management plans at Willow Vale Clinic.
Heidi's practice is built on evidence-based care, prioritizing the best interests of her clients. Always committed to professional development, she is currently pursuing a Master's Degree in Advanced Practice Nursing at Griffith University. Heidi's areas of special interest encompass a wide range of vital aspects in healthcare, including Metabolic Blocking, Integrative Cancer Care, Chemotherapy, Radiation, and Immunotherapy Support, Chronic Illness Support, Western Herbal Medicine, Nutritional Support for Cancer, Immune System Function, and Cancer Prevention.
